PROJECT 1: NEW SWIMMING POOL, HASLEMERE
We were commissioned to provide structural calculations and drawings for a new swimming pool within the grounds of a Grade II listed residential property in Haslemere. Our work included steel connection design, drainage planning, and foundation design. Throughout the project, we maintained regular communication with the client, steel contractor, and builder, ensuring the design was precise and fully compliant with regulations. Every detail of the pool structure was carefully planned to guarantee structural integrity while respecting the listed status of the property.
PROJECT 2: SUBSIDENCE INVESTIGATION, PETWORTH
Philip Goacher Associates was instructed by a loss adjuster to investigate suspected subsidence at a Grade II listed property in Petworth. Our inspection included assessing cracking internally and externally, evaluating the roof structure, and considering surrounding trees or vegetation. Using on-site findings, monitoring data over eight months, and soil borehole analysis, we concluded that the property was not affected by subsidence. The cracking was caused by a lack of lateral restraint strapping, and our detailed report provided the client with a clear explanation and recommendations for resolving the issue.
