You know what they say – don’t move out, move up! Loft conversions are a great way of gaining an extra room or two if you are a growing family or need a dedicated space to work from home.
With offices in Worthing and Haslemere, we can produce the structural calculations and details for loft conversion all over the south east of England, including Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, London and west Kent.
Planning Approval and Building Regulations for Loft Conversions
Our structural calculations and drawings are suitable for submission to Building Control, along with the architectural drawings, to obtain Building Regulations approval for your project. This is a really important step in the process, because if you build a loft conversion without Planning or Building Regulations, you may be asked to put it all back to how it was originally – a very costly mistake indeed!
What is the Loft Conversion Design Process?
- If you have drawings from an architect already for the loft conversion, then simply email them to us and we will get back to you with a quote.
- We’ll need to visit site to undertake our own measured survey to check sizes and assess the structure.
- We create preliminary loft conversion drawings to send to you and your architect to make sure you are happy.
- We’ll then produce the drawings and structural calculation package that you need to submit the application to Building Control.
We can combine our loft conversion drawings with a Contract Administration service, making sure the whole project runs as smoothly as possible. Or if you’re thinking of extending your home, you can check out our guide on structural drawings for extensions by clicking here.
