Our structural design services

If you are looking to alter your home, the first step is for us to visit your property and carry out a measured survey. We will discuss the project with you, talk through what you want to achieve, and take measurements of all the parts of the structure that might be affected by the proposed alterations. Once we have this information, we then produce structural calculations and drawings for the domestic alterations/strengthening works/beam installations, etc, to ensure that your home is structurally sound and adheres to Building Regulations (if required).

What next?

Alterations to your home can be stressful, which is why we recommend our Contract Administration follow-on service. We will create a schedule of works covering all aspects of the project, get quotes from local contractors (we have our own list of approved, vetted builders and we hold copies of their insurance details), produce an analysis of the prices, and let you know our recommendation.

We will then visit site regularly while the works are being undertaken to make sure everything goes smoothly, make sure valuations and invoices from the builders are correct, and sign off with a Certificate of Structural Adequacy or Completion Certificate at the end of the project.
